THICKENUP® Gel Express is a liquid thickener that saves time and effort when preparing thickened beverages and is an easy, fast and effective solution to support the hydration needs of people with dysphagia.
THICKENUP® Gel Express is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of people with swallowing difficulties. Must be used under medical supervision.
THICKENUP® Gel Express benefits:
- Dosing system allows for quick and accurate dispensing.
- Helps to improve the safety of swallow by increasing viscosity, in line with IDDSI^ guidelines (Levels 1-4).
- Contains a unique blend of xanthan and acacia gums which results in a gel that remains unaltered in the bottle over time.
- Offers smooth, lump-free and amylase-resistant beverages.

- Add 150mL of beverage to a clean glass or cup.
- Pump required amount of THICKENUP® Gel Express into beverage.
- Stir for 30 seconds.
- Wait a minimum of 5 minutes for the liquid to thicken until the desired consistency is reached.

Refer to a healthcare professional when mixing complex liquids such as carbonated and alcoholic beverages. These liquids behave uniquely when mixed with THICKENUP® Gel Express. Please check consistency of all prepared liquids before serving.
*For IDDSI level 4, limit the 150mL serve to 7/day.

Storage Instructions: Store in a cool dry place. Shake bottle before opening. Once opened, use within 8 weeks. No refrigeration required after bottle is opened. When reconstituted, consume within 4 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated.
